The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | NOVEMBER 1936
She looks to be about thirty, wears dainty clothes, pretty shoes, has a trim ankle, black bobbed hair, skin as soft and smooth as any young woman’s, a beautiful figure, graceful in all her movements and thin, beautiful neck without any lines or double chin. She has a very intelligent countenance, her whole being expressing the joy of life.
I told him that this woman, who is a very wonderful Truth student, is simply “putting off” the old belief of a deteriorating body, and is “putting on” the new belief of an indestructible body; which we might all do, if we believed as she believes.
This impressed him greatly. I told him to begin right where he was to change his thinking, and to see what happened. The next evening a mutual friend who had just arrived after several months’ absence from Miami, went to see this man. He returned and said, “Why, he doesn’t look very sick and he talks all the time about what he is going to do next month and next year. Evidently he thinks he is going to get well all right.”
I smiled and said, “That is good!” To myself I added: “Thank God, he caught enough of the Truth actually to begin to put it into practice.”
Thought you might like to know this. You have helped me much.

RELEASE
OUR INNER Temple is thing apart,
Forever calm and sacred in the heart.
It is a structure born of Truth and Love,
A gleaming tower rising high above
The valley of all mortal suffering.
And to this sanctuary we may wing
At any moment, finding sure release;
Within its sheltering walls, a shrine of Peace.
