WE HAVE shown the necessity of parents seeking to get close to the inner selves or souls of their children, by studying them, lovingly and comprehendingly accepting their statements as realities, denying their own beliefs and inclinations, and thus winning the respect and confidence of their trusting souls.

Such of you will be rewarded in many wonderful ways, especially when it is given you really to understand all that their souls are trying to tell you through the instrumentality of their childish minds; and when you thus attune your consciousness to theirs your own souls will unfold to your minds what they are trying to convey to you.

Of course this unfolding can come only through your loving desire to comprehend, and for the purpose of consciously working with their souls to prepare their childish instruments for their future use. With such a desire ever first in your minds, there will come to you many revelations of things before unknown; for you will learn of an inner world of being from which their souls speak, and you will marvel at what they tell you.

We advise you of this in advance, in order to inspire in you such a true and unselfish desire to know the souls of your little ones, so you can learn the real joy of soul companionship with them.

In the above you will recognize one of the fundamental principles spoken of in the preceding article which will enable you to deal wisely with these dear ones. Another one to recognize is that they are not only souls, but they have probably been drawn to you because of some definite relationship in a former life. They must have come to pay you some debt or to give you a chance to pay a debt you owe them, incurred in that life.

But always remember they are souls and are not your possessions, just because they are your children. For as souls, along with your souls, have lived many lives in other bodies, in which they may have been your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, teachers or friends. See if you can trace such relationships, when truly becoming acquainted with their souls. It is possible.
