The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MARCH 1934
I know that I came into the world with a soul. The physical part of me I may not be able to develop as I would. It does not matter. The spiritual part of me I can control, absolutely, if I will.
And right there I find the great inspiration of life. I have work to do. I am a part of the world, part of the universe. If the work is good and honest, unselfish work, I know the reward is sure and my advancement certain.
I know the power that governs all things has set no limit to spiritual progress. —From the New York Daily Mirror, February 8, 1934.

THAT SOMETHING WITHIN
From the Colonel I learned that the initiation into the new life of the conscious perception of that Something Within consisted of three distinct stages or steps, namely: (1) the stage of Recognition, or the perception of the “I Am I” as that Something Within; (2) the stage of Realization, or the perception of the stupendous fact that that Something Within, the Real Self, or the “I Am I” is a focal point or center of the expression of the Infinite Power from which all things proceed; and (3) the stage of Manifestation, or the actual expression in active everyday life of the presence and power of that Something Within, the Real Self, the “I Am I.” —From The Inner Secret.
