PICTURE to yourself an elemental being as the actual created result in the invisible of every thought you think. When you contemplate such, are you reassured, or does it give you cause for alarm?

Too many of us would be frightened could we see the unholy host of our creations, the thought children of our minds. Were they to manifest in the visible world we would shrink in fear; but because they are invisible we do not comprehend their actuality, their baseness, their power over us, nor the danger we are encountering every moment of our lives. Yet we go on daily, hourly adding to the number of the army against us.

This army can only be overcome by its opposite. This requires a great amount of right thinking, in order to counteract the evil forces we have unconsciously let loose. Anger, hatred, fear, worry, envy, jealousy, resentment, condemnation, revenge, and their like, are thoughts vitalized by feelings that have endued elemental forces with such life and power over us that they will eventually destroy us, unless they are annihilated by their opposites.

We must not only cease feeding them by giving them further attention and admittance into our minds, but we must begin at once to create another army headed by Love, and supported by fearlessness, courage, kindness, thoughtfulness for others, patience, gentleness, faith and trust in God, and a perfect confidence in His loving care.

These will form an army of light, but they must be added to daily, to combat the hosts of darkness; for with each new warrior of light fighting for us is destroyed one of the darkness formerly opposing us. The reason is simple—nothing of the darkness can stand or exist in the light.
