THE BANKER is in accord with your ideas as indicated in your letter, and he added a few words of explanation to show why he needs two minds, why he needs a group, and why it is so hard, in fact impossible, at this time to manifest that medium into material utility by means of one mind alone.

He says that just as the ether is the universal medium, undifferentiated, but containing all substances and all possible compounds, so the medium which he must use in the realm of mind and matter must be a medium containing all possible mental and physical substances in an undifferentiated state.
