freely and without price. Many of them were prompted by purely selfish motives and had no other thought than the urgent desire and the business cunning to exploit what they thus obtained.

While your good friends condemned them and censured you severely for dealing with them as you did, you, yourself, consciously or unconsciously, were realizing that they were not exploiting you, but were being used for purposes that you were setting in motion. These selfish persons were carrying away ideas that you gave them, and were using their money in developing and furthering those ideas. Selfishly or not, they were actually doing for you what you had neither the time nor the money to accomplish alone. They were therefore your instruments and their selfishness and cunning were the qualities used to make them obey.

This little illustration brings us to a grasp of another substance, of which material money is only a symbol—POWER. Power is a spiritual quality possessed by money, and he who holds and wields that Power commands the men who possess material money, and consciously or unconsciously they always use their money at the bidding of him who has such Power.

Do not become confused here. POWER may appear good or evil, but today mankind is mostly subject to evil powers, and that is particularly true of moneyed men. This is what we would change, and it is first necessary to get an understanding of the different substances that constitute money and then to weld them into a medium that will be wholly positive.

I will ask you and Mr. B. to work out a synthesis of LOVE and POWER, and to let the advanced students
