The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | NOVEMBER 1933

Thus has the seed, sown early in the commencement of the Christian era already taken root and we shall see its full development during this Millennial year. For in truth the teachings of the New Testament were to establish this great fact rather than the superficial story which for so long has been the current belief.

But it is only the “pure in heart,” the mystically trained who have learned to follow “the Inner Voice,” that can see this hidden and sublime truth. This attainment is not easy, but oh how splendid the recompense; how transcendently glorious the final result—Life eternal, in everlasting Peace!

THE DAY OF RECKONING

IN THE DAY when the soul shall be purged of its weight of dead ideas, there shall come upon the earth a time of much tribulation; for many shall die in that day, for they have fed upon husks, and they have nothing to feed on when the husks are taken away.

But before that day comes, shall men know, here and there, the sweet security of Divine blindness and deafness. Seeing all they shall be as one who sees only good; hearing all they shall hear as one who hears only the voice of God.
