An alarm clock in the next room awakened me suddenly, and my dream was over. But the impression left was so vivid, both as to the setting—I can see now the forest, the sky and the bird—and what we said to each other, the deep impression of the loneliness of this scarcely awakened soul, the intense yearning of his spirit for soul consciousness, that I cannot but think it is for some message in it for me. I have wondered if this problem I spoke of in my letter might not be typified. Though the dream came before I knew of the problem.

THE EAGLE type of mind is able to soar high into intellectual realms but the Spirit within demands something more. If the eagle part of your friend’s nature can be impressed that there is something higher than he can ever reach with his mere intellectual searching and he can be led instead to unfold his soul qualities through such an earnest yearning as is indicated in the dream, his soul will undoubtedly grow rapidly, with your help.
