This shows that Paul knew of such departments in the invisible side of life, and we would like to acquaint our readers with it sufficiently so that they can realize that all things happening in our outer lives must spring from certain inner causes that man himself sets in motion; and that these causes do not just of themselves bring about the results they do, but that they are carefully observed, taken in charge, directed from the unseen and made to manifest in the outer world—in accordance with the Great Law governing both the visible and the invisible worlds.

The innumerable hosts of Angels, the General Assembly, the Church of the First Born, and the Spirits of Just Men made Perfect, are evidently different grades of those Agents of God and Jesus Christ who in the invisible are having part in the direction and guidance of humanity, and of all that is happening to man in the outer world. You may know that wherever there is any exhibition of force, movement or activity, bringing about a change in conditions, substance or forms, whether in nature itself or in men’s bodies, lives and affairs, it is all being directed and brought to pass by one or more grades of these invisible Agents of God.

They may be likened to a great Corporation of earth with its central offices and factories and many branches in all parts of the world; officered and directed by a President and Board of Directors, under whom are Vice-Presidents who are General Managers of Sales, Production,
