(as food), and responds to the Christ in Ascension, does not reach a point of complete freedom from the influence of physical things, and does not see with the perfect vision of the Father, until it enters the King’s Chamber, where it comes under the full, unhindered influence of the Spirit.
9. The GRAND GALLERY, the CHAMBER OF INTERNAL LIGHT, or the CHAMBER OF THE ASCENSION. The primary process of ASCENSION must take place herein before the final step of ASCENSION may be attained. The final step is all that the average person thinks of as ASCENSION. The SEVEN IN-STEPS forming the wall of the GRAND GALLERY symbolize the SEVEN PLANES, and show the degree to which the ANOMON can perceive the presence of the SEVEN PLANES. As the ANOMON ASCENDS through the GRAND GALLERY, the CEILING of the Gallery farther down is at a LEVEL WITH HIS EYE, and he can SEE it, that is, the SEVENTH PLANE, to the degree that he functions IN the INNER LIGHT which alone can penetrate the darkness of the GRAND GALLERY.
10. The DIVIDING OF THE WAY, and the WELL. The WELL is a large, jagged hole which tends to prevent the ASCENT into the GRAND GALLERY. The WELL symbolizes fear, hate, and all the other destructive emotions which may cause the ANOMON to descend into the CHAMBER OF CHAOS and BOTTOMLESS PIT.
11. The PASSAGE to the QUEEN’S CHAMBER. Here is pictured the highest possible attainments of the outer man who follows the dictates of his own mind. Here is the goal of all wealth, fame and worldly position, and the ends thereof are revealed as death; for there is no progressive passage out of the Queen’s Chamber.
