THE FOLLOWING is the first of a number of remarkable letters we intend to publish from time to time telling of the experiences of their writers with The Impersonal Life. They will show something of its unusual nature and will give a clearer idea of its mission in the world at this time.—THE EDITOR.
THIS morning MY TREASURE arrived—two copies of The Impersonal Life. I have read a borrowed volume completely twice and practically three times, before receiving my own copies.
It may interest you to know why they were ordered. Since reading your request to write you of any unusual experiences, also of such dreams or visions, perhaps it is best for you to know the following:
For about eighteen years I have been an earnest seeker after Truth (not without fluctuations). In 1916 I bought a copy of Science and Health and read it through consecutively eight times; carried it with me on business trips, and studied it frequently for many years. It was a great stepping stone to my later awareness of Truth. For the past two years I have been reading much of Unity literature and have received from it much additional Light.
It was in answer to a heartfelt prayer during great Spiritual need for more Light and Understanding that “the little book” came into my hands for a reading. Shortly after uttering this prayer, a neighbor called upon me, one who had lived near me for nearly five years and had never called but once, and upon finding me out, and I never returning the call, we had not even become acquainted.
