TO THE Editor of THE INNER LIFE and others whom it may concern:

My wife and I were among the first ones who were led by our own God-Selves to the Impersonal Teachings back in 1928. We both then realized that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Yes, right here in the midst of us. We then contacted its Consciousness and tasted of the true Bread of Life and ate much of it during three years of study.

Then somehow we were led away and we began to put other books, teachings, and personalities before these teachings. We were led out into the world of illusion to again have proved to us what God is not. Yes, we had learned intellectually many great Truths in our study during those three years, but when we got outside we did not have the power to use them; therefore we seemed to be in a constant turmoil of mind, body and affairs.

About May of this year (1935) we began to question why all this, and the realization came that we were not seeking first the Kingdom. So we turned about face and began re-studying The Impersonal Life, the Papers, the 1933 edition of The Inner Life, and in only a short time we began to find ourselves again—our Real Selves. And this time our Real Selves took charge, and slowly remoulded our consciousness, cleansing it of the errors we had allowed to creep in during the period of separation. As a consequence our minds, bodies and affairs are becoming adjusted again.

We now know this Work is “The Truth” that will lead us straight into the Kingdom. If there are others who read this and are going through similar experiences, I would suggest that they make the Impersonal Work first and everything else secondary while, and then KNOW you will find rest, a greater assurance of God, a realization of what you are a part of, and your place in God’s great Plan.

For if you are sincere the Law will just draw you into consciousness with your own God-Self, and you will become conscious that God is All you are, and All that IS. —A STUDENT.
