for the mission to which ages ago they dedicated themselves to their beloved Leader, Christ Jesus.

To that end are these instructions in the use of the mind given, so that all will learn to work as One, or rather in the same and most effective way, when the great need is upon us. In order to accomplish this, guidance in lesser work will first be provided, as well as instruction how to give individual service to those sent to you or to whom you are led who need help.

For all who have contacted Him back through the ages and who became then His devoted followers, in whatever country, race or people and in whatever form He then appeared to them, and who pledged themselves to be here at the end of this age in order to help Him usher in the New Age of which He was to be the Lord, Head and Ruler,—all such must heed this Call. Think, were you to be of such? Surely in your heart you know.

We urge all earnest ones, if they are not already doing so, to begin at once to meet with us every day at noon, obeying religiously what is required of them in a “Call to Service,” found on the inside cover pages of this Magazine. Read this Call carefully and prayerfully, familiarizing yourself with every line and sentence, until all of its significance is clear. Note that this is “preliminary and preparatory for greater and more individual service,” it will accustom you to working with your Brothers in Spirit, and will train your mind to obey unquestioningly and faithfully when you call upon it to serve.

Those who are daily in earnest and who participate selflessly in this service and are led to utilize its power for the healing and blessing of others, will gradually become aware of the Light and Power of Divine Love flowing through them towards those they would help; and some may actually become conscious of their Brothers in Spirit with whom they are working, and may “see” some remarkable things happen of a spiritual nature. But remember, the first requisite is selflessness and an earnest desire to serve.

The next thing to do is to study the Mind articles in the June, August, September and October issues, and to stay with each statement until all of its inner meaning is clear, making yourself do what is required.
