and know you are a soul and therefore are able to go as described to the soul of another, let us suppose that you have been called upon for healing a so-called case of paralysis in a distant city.

Begin by addressing him—if it is a man, and speak positively his name three times. This in order to fix your attention and interest definitely upon him and that you may go at once to him in consciousness. See and feel yourself facing and speaking to his soul, and from out the love in your heart, say,

“John Doe, you know that you are a spiritual and not a physical being, that you are a center and channel of expression of the One perfect Life, Consciousness and Nature which we call God. Therefore you are not a body of flesh, as your mind thinks, whose brain has suffered a stroke, preventing your moving your fancied body.

“That body is but a thought-form in your mind, that through a course of circumstances has assumed condition it now appears therein. But it is a lie! Your mind is a part of the One Mind of God, as are you, a soul, and that thought-form has no reality; because you and I now are going to wipe it out of mind and replace it with a thought-picture of your perfect body.

“I remind you of the truth that your real body in which you as soul are now dwelling is formed in the image and likeness of God. Look at it and see how perfect it is in every respect, how all the life forces are flowing through it in perfect rhythm and harmony, how your mind is intensely alert and active and is directing the harmonious functioning of all organs and parts and receiving from them perfect obedience; and that perfect vitality, health and strength are now manifesting throughout, and you feel the power, purity, peace and wholeness of being that express perfectly the One Life and Nature in you of your Father God.

“John Doe, you and I now see, feel and know the Truth of yourself—we see your perfect body, and there is none other.”

Then, according to how clearly you see that perfect body in your consciousness and know that John Doe is now in that thoughtbody only; and you consciously see the One Consciousness pouring from deep within you into your thought-picture, filling it out and making it alive and perfect in every way, and you know it is so, accompanying your knowing with a great out-pouring of Love
