The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | NOVEMBER 1935

The world is getting brighter, the grass greener, people are lovelier, and lovely “thoughts” pour in for me—moment by moment.

I had absorbed so many cold facts, that I was truly ready for the warmth of the Impersonal Love. Of course such facts are all right. We know, don’t we? But there is not enough for me in Occult facts and Theosophical theories, true as they are. I was still reaching out for the Master of Love . . . and His teachings.

I know that we can speak words which will in return filled with material things—the Law will bring us that,—is it not so? But for me, I have looked long for the all-including Love . . . in the Son. I DO know the words—“Causeless Cause,” “Immutable Principle;” but that Love is all that and MORE.

I had talked to him while he was asleep, for several nights, following the last of my Papers. That was the answer. The rest is assured, I know.

The following is my Meditation:

IT ALMOST seems that I have stepped out of the past, as out of a sea of illusion. The experiences I have had, all of them, have been steps leading me up to the “Eternal Present.”

I entered the Eternal Present, through a door. I came to that door—as time is counted in my past—three years ago. At that
