The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | SEPTEMBER 1936

above mentioned, published in this issue. We wish every Inner Worker to read them with careful attention and to meditate earnestly upon all that is implied.

No man has any way of knowing just what is going to happen, except through such Visions and Revelations, and always there is the difficulty of correctly interpreting the meaning of what is seen, as it is usually symbolic and indicates changes that will take place in the outer. But those changes may be cataclysmic only in the minds of man, rocking their former beliefs, causing their hopes and ambitions of a material nature to crumble to the ground, their self-confidence to be undermined and consequently their businesses to collapse, their minds to quake and crack, and fear and terror to rule their consciousness.

Who will say this has not already happened to many in the past few years, and that it may not be much worse in the near future?

We are not concerned, however, about what may happen either in the outer or inner realms of consciousness; but we are concerned about those who can be saved—who can be got to turn away from the things of the world, the flesh and self, to God, the Source of all that can bring them true happiness and peace. All such must be helped to know the truth taught by Jesus Christ and in these pages, and be made ready for anything that may come to pass.

Assuming that September 16th is the time of the beginning of the Great Change, there is less than thirty days in which still to prepare one’s self for whatever may come, and likewise to impress the vital importance of these truths upon all our dear ones and friends and of their also preparing for our Lord’s soon Coming.

Let us say, however, we do not anticipate anything spectacular of an outer nature to happen just at that time. Study carefully the article “The King’s Chamber,” in this issue, and you will understand why not. Instead something of an inner nature will surely take place, that must express itself sooner or later in the outer—this, if for no other reason than that so many are looking forward to and expecting it in all parts of the world.

In order to prepare ourselves as Inner Workers to be in readiness for whatever may come to pass, we ask those who read this
