THE INNER ROOM

CONTAINING quotations from our replies to those writing us for help in their Spiritual problems.

Each day at 12 o’clock noon, we take the names of those asking for such help in the Silence of the Spirit, and “Speak the Word” for them. Many hundreds have testified to receiving the blessings of such ministry.

NEURITIS

ABOUT the pain in your right arm; do you know why it has come? Your right arm and hand are symbolic of that part of you that does things for you, or that part of your mind which should be under perfect control, so that your “the Divine You—can do through your mind what you want to do. That pain is merely the result of that part of your mind being obstructed by fear, worry and other limiting thoughts, preventing the free flow of your life forces to your hand—the servants of your will, and getting perfect response from it; and it outmanifests as neuritis.

If you will still your mind as shown in the Healing Article in Paper No. 8, so you can get the full recognition from the above words of the cause of that pain, and then will open your consciousness wide and realize clearly that it is a part of the One Consciousness, and will keep it wide open in a simple, childlike, perfect love and trust in God, turning thus to the Source of life in you, knowing that all you thus rest and trust in It, It will take care of everything—you will find the pain will disappear; for the channel of your life expression will then be open and free for Its perfect use. Try to prove this great truth, dear friend, by doing just what is shown, and you will find that many blessings will follow.

RESPONDING TO THE URGE TO GIVE

YOUR pointing regarding the money question, in feeling that this being a Spiritual Work it is provided for, is quite unusual. You must remember that even Jesus and His disciples received food and support from their friends and followers while going about on their mission, and that Judas was the treasurer. In fact, Jesus recognized the great law that when a soul, in loving appreciation of blessings received (when it can get the mind to listen), urges the need to help those bringing that spiritual truths, thus making it possible that others may receive similar blessings, it enables the soul to grow and thereby to be open to further blessings—fulfilling the law that as one gives, so shall one receive.

Therefore He never refused to accept what was offered of a loving, grateful heart. Remember what He said to His disciples about the widow’s mite (read Mark 12:41-44), and that He even took note of those who gave to the treasury.

If it were not for the dear ones who have been helped and blessed by the Impersonal teachings, it would not have been possible for this Work to have grown and accomplished what it has done. It is true that we who are in the Work at The Sun Center are not concerned about the money
