Each day at 12 o’clock noon, we take the names of those asking for such help in the Silence of the Spirit, and “Speak the Word” for them. Many hundreds have testified to receiving the blessings of such ministry.

YOUR problem is really not a problem, if you will but turn it over to your Loving Father to handle. We can tell you some plain truths that perhaps may help you to see the situation more clearly. In the first place, why should you be responsible for your friend and her son? Is it not rather her problem, and why should she depend on you? Of course, when she always has you to give her needed funds, she cannot learn her needed lessons. How can she grow and develop any spiritual strength and understanding when you prop her up all the time?

According to what you say she is in business, but is steadily getting poorer and more in debt. Would it not be better for her to pay as she goes, and not buy what she cannot pay for, instead of calling on you, when she has to lose her home to do so? Many thousands have lost their homes and are now glad that they are freed from the load they had been carrying.

These are but a few truths for you to consider. Your friend and her son will never come into any real spirit of independence when they have you always to fall back upon. And if you wish truly to help them into their own, they should be permitted to depend only upon their own resources and strength.

TRY to realize that the One Life of God that is in you and which will heal any cut or bruise of your body, if you will but let it, will also remove the impediment in your ear. Therefore, the first thing you must do is to get out of your mind that untrue picture of “hard hearing,” and instead try to see your ears as God’s ears, and that there is and can be no imperfection in them. And then in that realization just feel the life force flowing up into your ears, pushing aside every obstacle that would hinder their perfect functioning. Do this each day in the Silence and other times when that old picture comes into your mind, and you will find your hearing will soon be normal again.

DO NOT allow the experiences of other students to concern you. Each one grows in his or her own way, and there is always growth, which can not be retarded by seeming material conditions. All conditions are given to teach the soul the lessons needed and to develop the soul until it is lacking. You may be sure that when your life more and more expresses in harmony in all its departments, you are living more according to the Law, which means progress.
