are but impressing these conditions more strongly upon your consciousness and thus causing them more surely to manifest in your life? For as you have learned in our little book, The Way Out, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he,” and from much thinking of these things as so, man brings them upon himself.

Then what is the answer? That you must not only stop thinking and believing these things that appear so glaringly in the outer, but must know the truth of your being as shown you in The Way Out, and then begin to hold it in your mind and heart, despite anything that comes to you in the outer, knowing that the only truth is what God sees and knows—and not what man sees and knows.

If you prefer to live and believe in man rather than in God, Who has given you every good thing that has come into your life—while man has given you every bad thing—then you will just have to continue to wander in the darkness of sin, trouble, sickness and poverty, and no one can help you.

Can you not see, dear friend, what is before you, and how you must rise up and free yourself, sooner or later, from this condition in which you seem to be so sadly bound? Why not do it now?

Answering your question, about the part we are to play in the coming conflict spoken of by so many writers, the work they are calling upon adherents to do is for those who are of the combative type. Our work is different, as you have learned, and is to lead people to Christ and aid them to follow Him in all ways. Those who feel impelled to fight the evils prevalent in all our different systems of government, education, business, politics and religion, are not yet fully ready for the Christ way, and therefore will be the ones used to destroy the Old Order, in preparation for the Workers who are to build the New Order under Christ’s direction.

The only thing those should do who are earnestly trying to follow Him is to obey the guidance of the Loving One within. They must allow no one else to tell them or to influence them what they should or should not do; and must know that that part of them which is concerned about it, fearing and worrying just what to do, is wholly of the self.
