THE INTERPRETER’S HOUSE

IN THIS Department you are invited to send for interpretation any dreams or visions of unusual character, those that made a profound impression on you at the time. Please do not send anything simple or ordinary, for it is desired to explain those only that are either actual experiences on the inner planes of being, or are efforts of the Soul or Higher Self to convey to the outer mind helpful teachings, guidance or warnings of things to happen in the outer.

As our space is limited, only a few interpretations can be given in each issue and these in the order of receiving. If yours do not appear in an early issue, know that it is either because of the many ahead, or that they are not unusual enough to be worthy of publication.

Those that follow will give you an idea of what to expect.


ONE NOONDAY while “working in the Silence,” it seemed that I went quite naturally to the street and stepped into a car which I knew to be mine, and drove it with the most beautiful forest. I love trees, and in this forest were the most beautiful I have ever seen. The tender green of springtime, the rich full growth of summer, and the gorgeous coloring of autumn, from the softest pastel to the most brilliant of nature’s palette, were visible everywhere. As we drove on, the road gradually became steeper, and strangely enough my mother who would never touch the wheel when we had a car wanted to drive and I gave her the wheel. Immediately the road seemed to end at a precipice. Across a yawning chasm I could see the road again leading into still more wonders. Then on this side we paused—I was not afraid; yet my heart was strangely uplifted, and with that sense of uplift I felt a mighty Presence in the driver’s seat—and we drove across the chasm and were continuing along the way, when I came back to my printed lesson. Often I seem to be making my way through this forest, and sometimes through desolate wastes.

Try to realize that your vision that noonday was a perfect illustration of what you can do here in the outer, if you will. For the
