You saw how horrible a shape that hatred takes and what it is doing to the man; how every time he feels that hatred, to whomever it is turned, he feeds that force and it grows larger and more powerful in its attachment to him. When you spoke to it “In the name of Almighty God,” the force was liberated and scattered from the man and driven back into the darkness from which it came. But without understanding how to protect yourself, this scattered force was attracted to you—probably because of some negative qualities in you that still remained that needed to be shown you. The sensation of these forces against your naked body, which really meant against your soul, was of such effect that it inspired in you the strength to throw them off. When this was accomplished your soul became simple and pure again as a little child, which saw this force as not really evil but that it was only what the man had pictured and shaped it by his hatred. When freed from the man it was actually benevolent, as shown by its assuming the shape of Santa Claus. There is indeed a deep lesson in it for you.
