IN THIS Department will be given interpretations of dreams and visions of those needing to know their inner meaning. We reserve for it only those of special interest and helpfulness.
I HAD an experience a week or two ago and would like very much your comments upon it. I had been trying to realize that my Real Self was the door to the Kingdom, and by trying to Him as my only Life, Mind and Power, I could go in and dwell with Him in consciousness continually.
This realization was so exhilarating that for several days I felt like a new woman—and then came the reaction. One night, by the time I was ready for bed, it seemed that every pain I had ever had was trying its best to manifest. I would not give in, but kept right on declaring that Christ was my life—was the only life there was, and that He Who had created my soul and body could heal it and keep it well.
Finally I felt at peace as my mind accepted this truth, and I fell asleep. About three o’clock in the morning I awoke with cold feet, which was such a common occurrence that I kept an electric heating-pad connected up and under my pillow. So when I awoke I automatically reached for the pad to put it down to my feet, when a voice said distinctly as could be, If your Christ Self is powerful enough to remove pain, why can He not warm your feet?”
Instantly I replied, “Of course He can,” and that moment I felt a marvelously warm glow tingle through my limbs and feet, and from that time on, although the weather has been colder, I very seldom awaken with cold feet, and have improved in health greatly.
What I would like to know is, where did the voice come from? Was it my Real Self testing my faith in the statements I had made the night before? Or was it my teacher on the soul plane? Or was it an entity attracted by my former negative thinking and believing in disease? The night before, when I was trying so hard to realize the Truth, it seemed at times that there was a negative force trying its best to discourage me and keep me from realizing my oneness with my Christ Self.
The experience you describe is most interesting, and we are proud of you for your ability to hold fast to the Truth despite all that came to you. In fact we feel that everything of such nature that comes is but to test and prove us in our knowledge of Truth, which we claim to have.
You ask where that voice came from. We would say that it was from your soul, inspired by your Real Self. For remember, nothing comes to you that is not permitted by that Self—God’s Spirit in you. Never does a thought or an impression, even, get into your mind that He does not know about it, and He either directs it or permits it to get in and do what
