THE INTERPRETER’S HOUSE

IN THIS Department will be given interpretations of dreams and visions of those needing to know their inner meaning. We reserve for it only those of special interest and helpfulness.

SOUL FRUITAGE

“It WAS a bright and beautiful day. I did not see the sun but it was a glorious brightness all around. I do not know where I was as there was nothing visible of a material nature, no buildings, no autos, no trees, flowers, etc. The time was the present, as I was dressed in a frock of pink, which I am now wearing, and had packages of some kind on my left arm. To the side there was an invisible building. I was also conscious of an invisible presence.

Coming towards me from the right, and at right angles, there was a woman dressed in very colorful clothes, even the head was covered with something, but she was a beautiful woman with beautiful blue eyes and though the hair was straight it was a golden color, I could see this as part of it was combed down over the left side of her forehead. On her right arm she carried a basket of fruit which was carefully and neatly packed.

I was passing her with a pleasant nod when the invisible presence let me know that she wanted me to open the door to this invisible building. I took it all for granted, invisible things seemed to be all right, and said, ‘Certainly, I will be glad to.’ and was about to pass in, when she offered me some of her fruit. I said, ‘No thank you, I was glad to help you.’

But here again the Invisible Presence made itself felt and insisted that I accept the fruit. He pressed something into my keeping, but as I remember, that he gave me did not appear to amount to very much, it somehow was not what it appeared to be. I was again passing on and by this time the woman was close to me and as I was about to go, she handed me a four page leaflet with printed matter on it, and I said, ‘What is this?’ She replied, ‘SCHOOL.’”

We think that you contacted your own Soul—the beautiful woman—carrying a carefully preserved basket of the fruitage of this and other lives. You were prompted by the Unseen Spirit to open the door towards another experience necessary to Soul development. You wished to take no reward for this but the Spirit showed you that you had a right to share the fruit, for through this experience of the outer self—wearing the pink dress as does your personality today—the Soul gains in each life. Therefore, it was right that you should share the reward. What was given in to your hand was the experience on the outer plane which did not seem, in your opinion, to amount to anything as compared with the Soul fruit. The four page leaflet would indicate life’s schooling. The whole dream shows clearly the inter-relation and interaction of the Soul and the outer Self. You can probably detect to what experience this relates.

“I SAW—mentally perceived in waking consciousness—a very steep, sloping face of rock, down which hung a ladder. A man bearing a large burden climbed very slowly and laboriously, with bent back. He seemed very weary, heavily burdened and greatly encumbered by certain wrappings around his legs, which were loosened and hung so low they impeded his movements and even at times his foothold. He pulled himself up slowly rung by rung, hand over hand. As I watched I recognized him, and I wondered where he was going, when it became evident to me that he was climbing towards the PYRAMID . . . And what was his burden? As I looked, the scene changed somewhat. The burden was dissolving and I saw it was taking the form of the CAPSTONE of the Pyramid. The encumbering wrappings of his legs were loosened and fell away, and he appeared with the legs and body of a young athlete. The CAPSTONE was of a semitransparent, alabaster-like white, ‘living stone,’ shot through with sparks of light. ‘THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED IS BECOME THE HEAD OF THE CORNER.’ As I watched he carried the Capstone swiftly up into the flood of Light streaming from the summit and I saw him no more.” —M. V.

You saw the rough hewn face of the Pyramid which in your vision symbolizes the evolution of man down through the ages—the monument of man’s progressive effort. But you also saw an individual striving to carry the Christ Ideal aloft—you saw the triumph of the placing of the Crown of Pyramid, the STONE which the builders had hitherto neglected. In other words, Christ Jesus, the Headstone of the Corner, must be raised by each individual in his own life and carried by his own effort, to the top of the building. Your vision has an individual and a racial message.

“I HAD a strange dream one night. I wonder if it had any significance I seemed to be going in and out of houses—unfinished—still under construction. Sometimes the men were still working—but I paid no attention to them, nor to me. I walked many board-planks over high places and I remember seeing a daisy-like flower with yellow petals and a bright sky blue center. I had recently (after a summer gay and enjoyable but not fruitful as far as truth was concerned) determined to force concentrated living truth and apply it to several things in my life that have not been worked out. I had no feeling with the dream, just thought it peculiar and wondered if it had anything to do with these unfinished areas in my life.” —J. C. S.

We think your dream of real significance. It would indicate that definite work of construction is going on on various planes of your consciousness; that your Higher Self is in charge of the work though the workmen are not aware of the fact. The marguerite, or daisy, was in olden days symbolic of the initiate. The sky-blue center represents Spirit and the golden petals the radiation of illumination from that center. It was indeed a beautiful dream.
