The Inner Life

act, until of itself it naturally turns to that perfect picture in so powerful a desire to bring it forth that it actually sees it as so.

Can you not see, if you will give as much attention and interest to this perfect body that is actually your soul’s present habitation, as you have been giving to this mental delusion of a weak and imperfect body, that it will take only a short time to remake completely your human expression, so that you can take full, unhindered possession of it, and your outer self will express all that you are and all that you have been preparing it to be and to do from the beginning?

When your mind has thus surrendered itself wholly to you and has allowed you thus to train and discipline it into a perfect and docile instrument for your use, and you thereby gradually transfer to it all of your understanding and powers, in time it will build itself into a Master Mind, and you can thereby trust it to do the Father’s will on earth, even as you are doing it in Heaven.

WE WILL consider for a moment or two just what is such a Master Mind, its powers and possibilities. Try to imagine yourself as being able to make your mind do anything you require of it—that it will accept as possible whatever you ask it to do, knowing you can and will give it the power to do it, so that without hesitation it will do it—no matter how difficult.

You have heard of Masters and Adepts and their powers. Such powers are only those we have just indicated; they are masters of their minds, adepts in using the unlimited powers of the mind. The greatest illustrations of the use of these powers were shown in the “miracles” performed by Jesus while He was on earth. Unquestionably Jesus was the greatest Master and Adept the world has ever known. But there is no doubt that there have been many great Master Minds before and since Jesus’ time.

To encourage those who have hopes along this line of endeavor, we say with assurance that this generation will have personal acquaintance with some great Master Minds, and before many years have passed. In fact, there will be some among those who have followed these articles and the previous training given in the earlier lessons, and who have made themselves do what was suggested, that will be among such Master Minds and thereby will be doing the work they came here expressly to do in the times ahead.
