THE NATURE OF MAN
By Hanna Jacob Doumette
MAN is a Cosmic Being whose destiny is to occupy earth and heaven and on the intermediate road to experience the astral world. He is of a triple nature, physical, psychical and spiritual, and as one harmonious intelligent center of this mystifying reality he lives.
Through his physical body he is attached to earth, and through his deeds he is established in its kingdom.
Through his astral body he belongs to the soul world, and through his feeling he makes it a living and fundamental actuality.
Through his spirit he is a being of heaven, and through his thinking and willing he claims, affirms and lives his divine nature in the world.
Through his personality he translates earth, conducts the symphony of the soul and expresses heaven, transferring its commonwealth to an earthly civilization.
Through his will, thinking, and action he conceives and images the wisdom, designs, and reality of heaven and constructs them to the science, life, and beauty of earth.
Through wisdom, love and volition he erects in this world the kingdom of the truly human, answering his natural and divine calling.
Man is on earth to evolve and unfold, to beautify expression and transform creation. He descends in creating a purpose, and ascends in fulfilling its laws and demands. Not until perfect unfoldment is attained does he cease descending to earth and ascending to heaven, making earth his field of action and heaven his home.
