Such have learned, that being so, then they are not limited by anything that now seems to others as material and substantial; for they know that such things are only thought-pictures or beliefs in mind and are not real or permanent, and can easily be dissolved or changed by simply changing one’s beliefs about them.

Some of you perhaps have had proven to you that your strong desires sometimes seem to bring things to pass, actually causing things desired miraculously to come to you, and without your doing anything to bring it about. More and more thinkers are becoming convinced of the mind’s power to control matter, and there are plenty of people who have attended spiritualistic seances who have seen articles of furniture and heavy objects moved about the room by some invisible agency.

Back of all things is mind. Mind is inspired with an idea; it ponders over that idea and gradually thinks it into form; when fully perceived it feels a desire to outmanifest that thought-form of a thing or condition in order to use and enjoy it. In the world of the inner life the invisible forces of mind would instantly outmanifest such; but in the world of matter the process is stretched out because of the human belief in time and in matter being solid and immovable except by physical force.

When one’s mind is taught and finally convinced that it is in mind or consciousness only that we actually live; that in consciousness there is no time, space or physical matter, and therefore no limitations or hindrances to the desires of one’s mind being fulfilled, when backed by a strong will; then, to such, whether in the inner or outer
