The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JUNE 1933

Think of how man, instead of being centered in self and its soul delights, by taking to himself a “helpmeet” and then being tempted into generation, his helpmeet bearing him children, and all requiring, demanding their united interest, attention and care—how of necessity it not only drew man’s consciousness down into the physical world, but was the means of gradually enabling his Higher Self to convey to his brain mind the meaning of love for his own human kin, which was but the forerunner of inspiring in him the higher love for his fellow men, later to follow.

Thus, by causing man to fall into generation, was accomplished his necessary full descent into human consciousness, enabling man from out of his soul nature, and wholly guided from there by his higher Self, a Son of God, to begin now his work of the redemption of his body—even as his soul had already been redeemed—and which must be accomplished before his final union with his Father-in-Heaven.

And remember, his body consciousness was still a phase of his soul consciousness, even as his soul consciousness was a part of the consciousness of his Higher Self—a Son of God, Who gave them all birth originally. Therefore not until all are redeemed, and along with them the consciousness of all human beings on earth and of the earth itself, will the work and mission given to the Sons of God on this planet be finished.

THE REMAINDER of the Old Testament is an outpicturing of the way God taught His children in those days to redeem the body, by lifting the consciousness from generation to regeneration, and at the same time how to awaken sleeping souls so that they also may begin their work of redeeming their minds and bodies; until all on
