THE OPEN GATES

THIS is the next letter from our friend of the remarkable experiences in the Garden of the Soul. Remember that all these things she actually sees—experiences during the day while engaged in her ordinary tasks.

Dear Friends:

After my experience in the Garden with the light and the world at my feet, I stood there in the light for several days. Then I went back into the Garden, but this light seemed to shine on me like a spot light, and I could feel Christ very close to me. He would stand in front of me a little to the right, but His presence could be felt everywhere. My Teacher would be on the left of me. You’ll never know how close Christ was getting to me, and is now.

About a week ago sitting opposite me in the Garden by a fountain was the most beautiful Madonna I have ever seen. Of all the things I have known she is the most beautiful. It seems almost sacrilegious to try to describe her—she is purity itself, holiness itself, an embodiment of Love. Of course she is all in white and dressed as a Madonna.

One day my Teacher walked over and said something to her. She looked at me and smiled, and when she did that I broke down and cried, just because I felt so unclean. She has never left her seat, and has spoken to me only once. Of course I wondered what she came for, and I am so happy that she is with me.

The other night, after meditating, I looked up and directly over her I saw an open gate. The gate was of
