The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | DECEMBER 1934
I am still in the wonderful vibration that came to me with that knowledge, and I hope I will never lose it. There is indeed a marvelous truth in “And a little child shall lead them.”
Now when I see that mark on the door, I give thanks for it and am glad it is there; for surely I can never forget the lesson and the way it was given.
This child is a very old soul.

THE WHITE WAY
By S. B.
CITY, country, town or highway,
“Taverns” everywhere;
“Beer on Tap, Liquors, Wines,”
Glaring from electric signs.
Garish, wild—be not beguiled!
They still are just saloons.
Call them by any other name,
Their contents vary not;
Intoxicating, enervating,
All the good of life berating.
Nothing gaining, conscience waning—
What a plight for man!
Who above the brute can venture
While the passions rule?
Who can see life’s great effulgence,
Lulled to sleep by sense indulgence?
Young or old, meek or bold—
What a travesty!
Deep within a voice of warning,
Stifle not its cry!
Listen ere the tempter weakens;
Heed, oh heed, the distant beacons.
Clear the shoal! Reach the goal!
Life, Reality.
