You have said, “Oh, that Washington were here.” “Oh, that Lincoln were here.” I say unto you that these men could not save you now.
These men were set to a certain task. Others will be set to the task for which they are created and to be called forth.
God is wiser than you. Will you not trust his judgment?
Therefore, oh foolish children, why ask for a Cromwell? I tell you that a greater than Cromwell is here and walks among you unheralded and unknown. When he is ready he will come forth.
When he comes you will be astonished. You will ask where is his training. You will laugh at him, but he shall presently astound you.
Be astonished at nothing. He will bring the wisdom from ages past, and God will instruct him. His feet shall trample the beast and the dragon. The False Prophet shall tremble and his heart fail him.
See to it that you are worthy of God’s help. Examine your own hearts. Turn the light within. Christ will not abide in a filthy house. Search your hearts diligently and if you find anything evil in them, cast it out. Then will Christ come in and abide with you and you shall know the peace that passeth understanding.
Seek not to establish your own righteousness, but seek to do right and God will establish your place forever, and none shall remove it.
I say unto you fear not. They can but slay your body, but the real you they cannot hurt except you yield to
