and your life as reflections of the one God (the one All-Good). When you have got to the point of such an escape, you will find yourself able to control illusion; to create it and to destroy it again; to clothe your thoughts in matter and to disintegrate the matter again.
“This is the power of hypnotism as it is known and practiced in the East—for the power which is practiced in the West is not worthy of the name.”
In many ways the author then proceeds to show the nature of the hypnotism practiced in the East, and his illustrations can be so interpreted, if the reader will keep in mind that those practicing it knew that mind alone is important, and that when one can change the picture or belief held in the mind of anyone, the manifestation caused by that belief must change; or that by planting any thought-picture powerfully enough in the minds of others, by such that thought-picture is believed and becomes an actual tangible reality.
This of course applies equally as well when changing or planting a thought-picture in one’s own mind, as is shown in the final illustrated words of the author above.
Both of these books are worthy of careful reading and earnest study by those interested in the law of mind and its relation to controlling the manifestations in one’s life, body and world; but their truths must be stayed and lived with until fully proven, if their benefits and blessings are to be realized.
