BELOVED CHILD, you say that you would know more of death? But, I know not the meaning of the word, for I am LIFE ETERNAL. Death is a word made to describe the ignorant imaginings of the human mind, therefore it has its existence only in the world of the human mind, and it does not touch the real You, the Soul, or ME, the SPIRIT. My Child: the Soul is immortal, and knows an endless life. The Soul is the real part of every man you meet. And yet, with knowledge of this truth, when one who is dear to you lays down his body-covering because his work on earth is done, you grieve. O child, what ignorance and foolishness is this? What subtle sophistries and cunning suggestions has the devil of self planted in your mind? Perhaps you think it is a duty thus to grieve, so that they who have left you in mortal sight may know of your love? Well cast aside such thoughts and still yourself, and listen well to ME, your own CHRIST SELF.

I AM the LIFE, the only BEING in the body, in the mind, or in the Soul. When you meet another one and are drawn to him, you think, unless you step back here to ME, that you love the John Smith part of him you see. You think, do you not, that it is the John Smith part that is nice, and kind, and gentle? Yes, you think these things, but you think them only with your human mind, and consequently they are not true. In reality, whether you are aware of it or not, what you like in the other one, I ALONE AM, for I ALONE AM GOD, FOR I AM the only Life there is. It is My Intelligence which holds together each cell of the body that you see with your eyes, and it is my Life that animates and makes that body do or say whatever it does or says.

What conclusion then do you draw, from what I have said? Is it not, that since it is I, GOD WHOM you love in everybody, and since I AM eternal and undying, you could never possibly lose your loved one, or lose the love of that one who left your mortal sight, for I AM your loved one? And do not think, because of this, Dear Child, that you do wrong to your loved one by giving him no love or praise for the good he may have done in your life. Remember I AM a jealous God and I want all of your love, and I have that now, for I AM all that there is, but it must be a CONSCIOUS Love. You must be conscious of what you are loving. So with this Knowledge, just know that the Soul of the departed body lives just as it has always lived, for I live in the Soul forever, loving it and caring for it even as I did when it had a body. So now My Child, stop thinking for a time and rest in silent thought, and let these words I speak fill full your troubled mind.

“BE STILL AND KNOW—I ALONE AM. I AM your Real and only Self. I AM the Light and Life in you; the Light and Life which dwells in every one upon the earth and in all realms of consciousness. All things are filled with My Eternal Life, and are filled and surrounded by My Pure white Light of Spirit.

“I am the Resurrection and the Life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. Whosoever liveth and believeth in ME shall never die? Believest thou this?”
