I AM WRITING that I may receive light. For about six months I have been interested in metaphysical study; my outside interests have been as nought to the gaining of understanding—which I can see is the goal.

I have read much from miscellaneous sources. Now the mass of ideas that I have gained requires digestion and explanation.

God is Omnipresence, Omniscience, Omnipotence, and is Eternal. His Kingdom is here now, within and without, even as He is within and without. Yet we are told to do thus and so, choosing according to the instruction of our brothers. God is equally present everywhere; therefore what can we choose that is not He? Is not then, for example, the desire to smoke a cigarette as godlike as meditating?

If God is Omnipotence, can anyone’s ideas or actions be ungodlike? If so, what inspires these “evil” actions, when God is All in all?

I have heard that man cloaks his God desires and God thoughts with ideas induced by his own selfishness. God is Omnipresence and Omnipotence; whence does man get the very power to be selfish and to misinterpret God’s ideas and will for him? Were it to spring from any other source, God would no longer be absolute.

God is Eternal; “He answers before we call; He hears before we speak.” Yet we are to pray to Him. Why, when He knows our needs, verily is our needs, are thus gratifies them? The conclusion left to me is that prayers accomplish nothing beyond allaying and calming the mortal mind.

My greatest problem is—God is Love, His eyes are too pure to behold iniquity; yet God knows all things. Am I right in assuming, then, that nothing in life is evil to God, but is simply an impersonal purging of self?

Even if this last were truth, that would mean that God’s perfect Kingdom is not now, of the present—but of the future; thus robbing Him of His efficacy.
