AUTOMATIC WRITING

BECAUSE of the wide interest and concern in Automatic Writing expressed by many earnest people these days, and because of its having a definite part in the unfolding of the Inner Life, it is meet that the subject be given careful attention and consideration by us. It is of such a nature that it needs to be very clearly explained, in order that the mystery surrounding it in the minds of most of the interested ones be dispelled, and that those indulging in such writing may know just what they are doing and what if any spiritual value is attached to it.

Certain articles and books on the subject have caused many earnest seekers to believe that all such writing emanates from spiritual sources, and as a result they drew to themselves untold trouble and suffering before they were able to free themselves from influences contacted while practicing such writing.

We will endeavor herein to make the entire subject so clear that those interested may know for themselves just what they are doing, may understand the laws back of automatic writing, how to avoid all harmful and untoward influences, and how to free themselves from them when encountered.

Let us first consider the invisible world where dwell such influences and whence emanate such writing. If you think it is something very different from the outer visible world, you are much mistaken, and we will show you why. Of course if you think when people die they go at once to some wonderful heaven where they are purged of all the selfish, evil, cruel and heartless qualities that ruled them when on earth, you will first have to be shown how impossible that would be.
