The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | 1933

and beliefs about things, people and conditions that you see with your human eyes and “experience” through your mortal senses are but the out-picturing or so-called “manifestations” of what comprise the “world” of your consciousness. They actually exist only in your consciousness, even as man and universal things and conditions exist only as ideas and thoughts in God’s Consciousness.

God in this sense is the “Father” of all, the “Creator” of all; and all things and people as ideas and thoughts are centers of His Consciousness through which He expresses His Life and Nature. But only in relative degrees, according to how close they are to the Center of His Consciousness (as planets of our Solar Universe are close to the Sun), are they able to receive and “manifest” His Life and Nature in their Reality and Fullness.

God is also known as Light, Spirit, Life, Love, Wisdom, Power, Principle. But as God is All in all, then He must be everything that IS, and everything must be good and perfect. But men’s minds as centers of His Consciousness, being so far away from the Light of The Center, see and understand as through a smoked glass only the darkened and distorted reflections of the good and perfect things in That Center. Eventually the Light from That Center, however, will penetrate and drive away the clouds of error and misunderstanding surrounding the outer centers, and they will be drawn into the fullness of Its Light, thus becoming One with It.

CHRIST

Christ is the EX-pression of God’s Love; is His Holy Spirit, the Comforter, come to man to abide in him, when man’s soul (consciousness) has been cleansed of all darkness, and his outer mind has truly dedicated itself to God. That Love then becomes the Light which lighteth him and leads him in all ways and in all that he does.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is God’s Holy Spirit sent to earth in the form of man to teach and show all humanity God’s Image and Likeness and what in time all men may become outwardly—if they follow Him and obey His teachings.

Jesus Christ is just as much alive today as He was nineteen hundred years ago when in the flesh; but now through His
