For remember, human souls are parts or centers of the One Life and Consciousness, which each Springtime ever pushes forth and through Its myriads of avenues of expression into rebirth or renewed expression, but each season into higher and fuller degree and form.

Human souls, like that part of Nature we know as the vegetable kingdom, when they near maturity always evidence this in the Springtime by bursting forth into a new and higher expression of the life within, known as the blossoming stage. For the first time that life blossoms out and shows to the world its true nature and purpose. In the vegetable kingdom the blossoms show the promise of the first fruit to be delivered.

Likewise in the human soul come to its blossoming stage, this is evidenced at Eastertime by a new birth, or a higher form of life expression bursting forth, enriching and beautifying the life. That blossoming stage is the flowering of Love in the life of the Disciple and is symbolized by the First Baptism, the Birth of the Christ in the heart, or the descent of the Holy Spirit into the soul, there to dwell ever afterward—if it is proved that the frosts, the storms and the heat of life (Nature’s way of developing and perfecting its forms of expression) cannot destroy or drive It out.

Then follows the development of the fruit in the heart of the blossom, which in the Disciple manifests as the unfoldment of the Spiritual power and wisdom of Christ in the heart—the ability of Love to teach, heal and bless all he contacts. This ripens and perfects the Soul and makes it ready for the Second Baptism, the descent of the Holy Spirit into the mind, symbolized by the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan at the age of thirty, His maturity. The Disciple’s special training has fitted him for a phase of the Great Work of Christ that no one can do as well as he; in other words, he fits into just the part and place that was waiting for him in the Great Whole from the beginning; for remember, each soul is a distinct and individual part of that Whole which we call God.

Therefore, at this particular Spring season great preparations are being made in the inner realms for the reception of the souls who are to be admitted into the White Brotherhood this Easter. Intensive instruction has been given and many severe trials and testings have endured by every candidate, accounting for the very difficult times so many Disciples have experienced.
