of God’s Plan and Purpose. Consider this last thought for a moment, and it will help to lift you in consciousness to Their viewpoint.
HOW ELSE can men be aided to grow out of selfishness to a state where their first thought will always be for others instead of for themselves? Can you conceive of any better plan than the one we have indicated? Think you that God’s Plan is not far better than man’s can possibly be? And did not the Great Teacher sent by God two thousand years ago point to man the only way to freedom and happiness is the way of Love and Brotherhood?
If man will not heed and insists on going the way of selfishness and greed, definitely defying the Cosmic Law of harmony and co-operation; as was shown is the System in operation in all the Universe, then must man be humbled and have all taken away from him that leads him to think only of and for himself.
The Great Ones Who are guiding and helping humanity’s growth of course know of man’s inner longings, desires and ambitions—in fact They inspire such in man; and if man misunderstands and seeks to misuse all opportunities and powers given him, it is allowed in order that he may be brought to learn as soon as he can accept it what is not God’s will for him. From the beginning that is the way man has been taught, and is the only way he would learn—by tasting and eating all things that appear to him good, until he found such was not good and did not bring him happiness. In the end he learns that nothing in the outer satisfies, and that God alone is good; then is when as a Prodigal Son he starts on his return journey to his Father’s Home.
These Great Ones are wholly Impersonal. They consider
