The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | OCTOBER 1936
FROM THE MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION
DEAR Brother Travelers:
I am with you as I write upon the Mount of Transfiguration, where the Light of Peace which passeth understanding reigns supreme.
This Light radiates from me and meets the Light radiating from you—from all—from everything, unfolding in me an understanding which is Wisdom, far above human knowledge that we learn intellectually from books and from people.
In that Light I see a vast Army riding—riding over the world. As it rides I see people of all nations, some filled with terror, some hurling rocks, or fire, upon this Army of White Riders.
As They pass, those who love, those who come Them in purity of thought and purpose, are quickly mounted on white horses and ride with Them.
On, on, They come, sweeping into oblivion everything which has no place in the New Universal Nation. Those who do not ride with Them wither away, becoming dry dust, which is blown far and wide.
Before this White Army of purified souls another army retreats; its made up of frightful, evil people on black steeds, bony and weak; their garments are black, and as they flee in terror, these garments, rotten and filthy, fall from them, and many fall from their steeds and are trodden into the earth.
Over the ocean the White Army rides, and I see as It passes over some islands that they disappear under the water, which is much disturbed by creatures that look like sharks fighting over bodies. Many black clouds are in the air, which are drawn in toward the White Army as It rides, becoming a soft haze of Light encompassing It.
Presently It has ridden over the world; the black army is no more. A great Silence holds all in its eternal arcunum. And now I am one of a great multitude; we are taken through the air, over the devastation on the earth. The air is intensely clear and cool, and everywhere is sweet perfume. We are led by a great Light, and as we pass showers of golden drops are scattered over the earth.
