DEAR Friend:

Thanks so much for your lovely letter so filled with good things. We had a meeting yesterday, our fourth with two new members, making nineteen in all (Catholics, Christian Scientists and other churches). I had told them that I had written to you about our Club and I showed them your letter, that it consisted of six pages typewritten. They thought it was wonderful when I spoke of the puppet plays. They were thrilled with the idea. I can sew, and make anything so would be so glad of the patterns, etc.

My June Inner Life Magazine came the day before your letter and how happy I was to see the Child’s Way Out Course, and then your letter about it. I read it to the children and they were so interested in it. I asked if they would like to go on with it, and they all said yes. Most of them are from 8 to 13, but they were truly interested in it. I found the Catholic children answered the quickest. Tonight while giving Nancy a bath she said, “I must keep my body-auto clean.” I asked her who some of her playmates were. She said some were very little souls, some little and some big; said her mother was a mother soul. She used big and little instead of young or old. She said I was a big, big soul, and when I asked her if she had ever seen the light in any ones eyes, she said, “yes, in yours.” She has asked me to read the lesson to her three times. She wants to send her love to Colombe and says she can play with her at cuddletoom every night. She also asked if she could not send our club song to her. They must be about the same age. Nancy was four, April 11, 1937.

Now I certainly hope they will go on with this Course for children and that it will be printed in the Magazine each month. Nancy said Colombe should belong to our club and then she would not say “gee,” as they are all trying to refrain from using slang.

Will review the lesson this next meeting and will let you know of any suggestions or ideas that come to me. Think it will be well to see if the children have thought of it this week.

Thanks so much for suggestions as to the noon meditation. Would be so grateful to you and Colombe if you would include Nancy and me at that time. I may have to do it at some other time as that is the time I am generally getting the dinner. I have been longing to enter into the very heart of everything and perhaps this is how it is to come about with Nancy’s help. The hardest thing seemingly for me to do is successfully to “Be Still and Know,” and to go within, shutting out all else; but it will come. I find I get the best results after 12 P. M., when all are in bed asleep. Your letter is a gold-mine come to me; I feel so rich, because of its true wealth—the kind I want. Nancy is eating much better. I had not tried to have her mind me as I thought it was her mother’s place to see that she did, but realize that I must watch that too. I was building on to the thought that she did not mind me, but I have revised it and it is working beautifully.

I am so happy to be used as a channel to help these dear children and my Higher Self truly showed me how to go about it. Also gave me the song.
