GOOD AND EVIL

BECAUSE of the unquestionable prevalence of evil everywhere in our present-day world—in business, in government, in society, in education, and even in religion—it has become a most vital necessity that certain truths be again declared and widely broadcast, and this time with a clarity that none may longer be deceived by the sophistries that of recent years have been so subtly instilled into the minds of earnest seekers that they have not only been accepted as truth, but many now refuse even to listen to or consider any statement that aims to disprove them.

The one we will consider in this article is that most widely accepted one—“There is no evil, there is only good.” This is not only a common “belief” among a certain type of thinkers, but it is widely taught in most New Thought Movements, and by many teachers of Truth who should know better.

This in the face of The Master’s own teachings and those of His disciples, of Paul, and of all the prophets. It is almost incomprehensible how such belief can find entrance into the minds of those who read and study their Bibles, did one not know of the methods used by those sinister influences who make it their business to twist the meaning of the vital teachings of life by instilling subtle sophistries into them, in order that mankind may be kept in ignorance and that they do not become as the gods and “live forever,” and thus nullify the work of these evil influences and deprive them of the tools they have used so long to fulfill and maintain their selfish ends.
