The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | DECEMBER 1936
the other husbands, and then I met a man I loved. And oh, how I loved him! And because I loved him so much, the Father could finally reach and teach me through him.
Not with kindness—that did not work. Then He kept my husband out nights, until I fell on my knees and prayed—the first time in years and years. I prayed and cried, and prayed and cried—all night and all day. Oh, if God would but bring back the one I loved, I would do anything—just anything! He came back, but then is when the beating started, and I didn’t know what to do. So I just prayed and prayed more.
Soon after this The Impersonal Life came, and with it the beginning of a new life. Through it I saw that my husband was indeed God’s Angel, the only means He had of bringing me home to Him. How clear it all became then, and oh, how I loved my husband—truly loved him, and saw the Christ working from within him.
The next day something occurred that separated us for good—all out of a clear sky. And it was all over before I had time to realize it.
We have been separated now three years. I still love him dearly, because I know he was God’s perfect channel to bring me to Him. But husband looks at me now and wonders if he ever knew me. No, he did not; for I now am not the one he knew. What seems strange to some is that he brings his lady friend here and spends hours. I love her and would not take him from her for the world.
And so, dear ones—those of you who are facing what I did, just know that God is All and All is Good. It is hard, I know. I have been through much, but I have accomplished much through the glorious lessons learned. I am thankful, oh, so thankful, for every blow received, for every hour of anguish my husband caused me.
And I am so thankful to The Sun Center for spreading the Father’s Word in a way it can be understood and used.
