It is the real you—My Consciousness within ever trying to make Itself known to thy outer mind.

I make thee aware of thy soul as thy real self only when I have prepared thy mind so it can know what is Love. For Love is known to but few—true Love. At first It is but an intellectual concept. Then it is selfish love. Then it broadens and causes for the moment a forgetfulness of self. Then comes an awakening—a realization of something greater than self—a Love that surpasses, takes charge and compels, for the time being, and the mind surrenders and does Its will.

That is My entry into thy soul, thy inner consciousness, to make it My abiding place. Even as the life within the stock grows the bud, forms the blossom, unfolds its petals, and bares its heart to the light of the Sun; so do I, within the stock of self, grow the bud of thy soul until it is filled with the love of Truth, when My Life, being pure Love, makes it so big with its desire to express the Truth, that it forces open the petals of thy heart, baring it to the radiance of My Light within—the Sun of thy being, and permits Me thereafter as Love to shine forth in the outer world.

I am doing this to every man in the world, for I am the Life that is growing every man in the world, and am the Light which lighteth every man. I grow first the stock of self, then the branches reaching out for experience, then the twigs seeking knowledge, then the leaves receiving instruction, then the buds developing understanding, then the blossoms of Love, and finally the fruit of expression—loving, selfless Service.

No man escapes Me—Jesus Christ—the Father’s Love. No man can live without Me. No man is without Me. For I AM within him—AM all that he is.

It is I within his stock of selfishness who cause him to reach out with his branches and grasp all he can from the outer world. He is then but a young soul, young in consciousness and understanding, knowing not the meaning of life as yet—nothing of Me within him. For the great masses of mankind I am still growing stocks and branches; for a much lesser number I am growing twigs, and for still lesser, leaves. Only a comparatively few are come to the budding stage, while those on earth who are the fruit of My Life are but a few hundreds in number.
