causes him to strive and later to become what was visioned for him.

Such is the power of a woman’s thoughts motivated and vitalized by her love or her fears—she can make a man become what she idealizes him to be through her unquestioning faith and trust in him; or she can send him to the dogs and destroy him, by her ignorant and foolish fears and her condemnation of him.

LET US take another illustration: You may have noted how a wife has built up a mental picture of her husband in the way we have shown, because of some fancied faults or shortcomings, often due to monetary causes; or a husband has built a similar picture of his wife; seeing the other now as a kind of monster, that picture-belief actually obsessing the mind so it can think and speak of little else. When often others see the husband or wife as an entirely different person, kind, efficient and decent—the exact opposite of what the other claims him or her to be.

The one so judging and condemning does not realize that her or his friends see quite clearly the true state of affairs and the foolishness of it all.

As above indicated such a state is often due to money matters. The husband may have lost his position and cannot find another; or his business has failed and because of the depression he cannot start another; so he is much in the home. Because of this, perhaps, the wife cannot withhold her comments, opinions, judgments, accusations and finally condemnation, and the picture grows—more and more separating the two in spirit. Neither perhaps realizes that it is these wrong mind pictures separating them that make it impossible for husband to get another job or to be successful in anything he undertakes, because they are now completely out of harmony with one another and with the Law of Success; and so the condition of lack and inharmony naturally grows worse and worse.

The sad part of it is, to those who like either of them and who do not understand, is that these two souls have come together for the very lesson this experience is brought to them to teach. The foolish ones will run away from these lessons and separate in reality outwardly, and deceive themselves into believing they
