mental concepts resulting from his having descended or gone further and further outward in consciousness from his Spiritual Source, the Kingdom of God’s Consciousness within him, and from his attempt to understand, relate himself to and interpret the new and strange sensations of these lower vibrations that made everything appear so bewilderingly different.
Therefore every sensation or vibration man feels in these lower or outer states of consciousness he conceives to be real, and he interprets them as best he can, being now wholly separated from the light of his Spiritual Source and ever wandering in the darkness of such separation. So beginning way back in the early days he built built concepts or mental pictures in his mind of what he thought each impression represented, and in the course of time he became convinced that these mental pictures were all outside of himself and were actual, material things, instead of being pictures existing only in his mind. And of course because of his being now almost in utter darkness and remembering no more his Spiritual home, his pictures were but ludicrous distortions of the real things whose vibrations he felt and still feels and which still exists in all their Spiritual perfection in the Kingdom deep within his mortal consciousness.
Think what this means—that on every plane of consciousness outside of his Spiritual home, within every thought creation on every plane, there are these elemental forces, these servants to wait upon man and to make manifest his thoughts and desires on each plane.
What for? You may ask. That he may learn that man’s desires are not God’s desires for him—learn this in all those stages after man starts back as a Prodigal Son to his Father’s home. For man, being given free choice and dominion over the kingdoms of his world, must learn to use his will and his control over the forces of his nature wisely and unselfishly.
And so man is allowed selfishly to think and desire anything he chooses, and to receive and indulge in the fulfillment of his desires, until finally to the One Consciousness within unfolds his love nature and thereby the understanding that enables him to comprehend the law of thinking and creating and its close relation to this gift of free choice, that as he thinks, so does he build for himself the conditions that influence and control his physical being and all his outer affairs.
