We are trying to get you to see that money is to you—has affected your life and your circumstances—by just what you have thought and felt about it in your consciousness; that in fact you have made it your master and you have unconsciously been serving it all these years, when actually money should be and was originally intended to be your servant!

Think, can you not see that this must be true? Think and stay with the idea of money until you fully realize that money could never have been given to us as an idea for any other purpose than to have it serve us in all the many ways that we now use money.

Money’s sole purpose is to serve and bless us; and what have we done with it? We have set it on a throne and have worshipped it! The time has come for thinking men, those of you who are gaining a realization of spiritual values and especially of the value and the true meaning and purpose of ideas, to see, know and treat money as it is in its true nature—as your servant.

How can you do this? First, by looking squarely at that idea in your consciousness and seeing it for just what it is—a servant; by studying it in all its phases as a servant, noting that it can and does serve you every chance you give it when your mind is not filled with the fear of it and of the possibility of your losing it, or of your not getting any more of it.

Secondly, by refusing to allow any of those old thoughts and feelings to enter your mind; to no longer worship it, or to acknowledge its power over you; especially no longer to fear it—or to think that it is hard to get, or that you will lose it and it may stop coming to you. For remember, money is only an idea in your consciousness, and its sole purpose in life is to serve you.

And thirdly, to begin considering and treating it as a servant—an efficient, loving and willing servant, one whose only office is to wait upon you, to learn and to anticipate your every wish and need, and to be always at hand instantly to provide for them.

Should that not be money’s real office? It is truly that and much more, and when you learn to know what a wonderful servant it is, you will give to it a trust that will prove to you
