The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MAY 1934
the mighty power and efficiency of an idea, once you recognize its true nature and why given you by the Giver of all good ideas.
NOW WE will study ideas in our consciousness, in order to see what they mean or are intended to accomplish for us, especially in our outer lives. Of course all pure ideas are given us for our good, from whence come all pure ideas.
From the One Mind that we call God, the All Good. That Mind of course, can have in It only good and pure ideas; and when any one of those ideas comes to any outer center of Its consciousness, when perceived, accepted and used by it in its purity, that center will receive all the good that is connected with that idea.
This means, of course, that self can have no part in that good,—only as it is given and used for the benefit of all. The moment self tries to or does purloin for its selfish use, the good changes to evil. The evil, and the one missing it will eat of the fruit of evil. For there is only ONE, Which is All in all—One Mind, One Good; when anyone would separate from that One that is All, such a one separates from the all-good and then partakes of what seems evil—the outside or opposite of good.
As all things, which means all good and evil, exist only as ideas in consciousness, then that consciousness in you as one of its centers—is your consciousness; for there is only One Mind and One Consciousness, and your mind must be a center of That Mind and Its Consciousness. Therefore all the good there is in that Mind is instantly available for your use, and the moment you can focus your mind upon any phase of that good to the exclusion of every other idea, especially when you call upon it to satisfy a need, it will begin to flow forth into expression in your life.
Do you need money for any good purpose? Then get quiet; think over all that has been said about money being an idea in your consciousness, about its being your efficient, loving and willing servant; that its sole purpose in being in your consciousness—which means in your life—is to serve you in your need.
