DEAR Editor:—

I received your letter of the 15th, and find it good indeed, and today received the June issue of the magazine, containing two of the best articles I have read in a long time. By these I refer to the one on “The Different Economic Plans,” and “Be not Deceived,” which are all too true, and it will be well for waverers to read them.

When I think of the many—Technocrats, Epic, Townsend, Share the Wealth, and others—who are trying to solve the world’s troubles with economic plans and changes—when the trouble is within men themselves, I can be glad that God has enlightened me to the extent that I am willing to wait till the Master, even Christ, shall lead me into full knowledge of His Kingdom.

One can indeed seek to bring about measures that will help to better conditions until He comes, but not attempt to establish the perfect Government. That is what Christ is coming for.

Then too, practically all of the mispurpose that the world will be fused into one nation. Last night as I lay awake communing, it came plainly to me that there will be more nations than ever; for most of the big empires will be broken up and their subject nations set free to work out their own destiny under Christ. There will indeed be one central Power and Wisdom directing them, but they will everyone keep his own house. That is as it should be.

Then again, practically all of the would be saviors of the world presuppose a state of affairs where all property is in common and all will be but as bees in a hive, as ants in a hill, or cogs in the machine—When as a matter of fact there will be the greatest individual liberty and choice of effort ever known.

Can these things be possible in a world empire, a communistic, a socialistic, or a dictator state, such as they vision? No.

When will these foolish men realize that God does not think as do men nor work as do men? If He did He would be as foolish as nature; and God is the fountain of all wisdom.

Some day, they will learn that God’s concept of a kingdom and their concepts are entirely different. —E. R. P.
