So when the thinker accepts within his own heart his idea of GOD SUPREME, Vast, Omniscient, Omnipresent and All-inclusive, the natural and unavoidable corollary of the idea is that although God is vast, He also is minute; that the MIND inherent within the cosmos is also within the atom. One searches about and finds many illustrations within his own knowledge, the simplest being the law of gravity. Gravity is a silent, unseen force—it acts upon a mountain with the same ease and facility that it acts upon a grain of sand; and the reason is easily apparent—because the WHOLE OF THE LAW inheres in the atom, as well as in the mass.

Therefore, in considering God as Intelligent Being, one once arrives at the conclusion that the whole of that Being inheres in the atom. Then God must also inhere in man, the thinker. And that brings the thinker squarely up to the mystical statement of Jesus, “The Father and I are One.”

Many years ago I sat thinking of all of the above, when suddenly I seemed to be free, not alone from my body, but from all material bondage. I seemed to be PURE BEING—unfettered, unbound, FREE!—I was not aware of my physical body at all. There was nothing terrifying in this—it seemed perfectly natural—and I wondered why I had ever bound myself.

Then I just let go, and waited—listening, expecting something to happen. All at once I seemed to be over a magnificent group of buildings; it appeared to be night; a bright moonlight flooded the scene with its soft liquid radiance. I admired a group of equestrian statues, noted the peculiar curve of the stone walls; it all seemed very familiar to me. So I thought I would investigate the place, and I seemed to descend to the ground.
