The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | OCTOBER 1936
“I desire to look deep into the human heart and heal the hurt.”
I mean, the Father in me healing the hurt. I have been successful, . . . and when I say I, I mean the Christ in me. Personal work I do best. I love people, and so many people always seem to come to me for help; it seems I understand them, and the Father tells me what to say and do. This is the work I desire to do; and that is why I loved the newspaper work so much, I contacted so many people every day.
10. THE KINGDOM NOW IS FIRST.
11. The Christ within is always available to me. I could give you thousands of instances. HE IS MY VERY LIFE.
12 Answered in No. 1—in first part of letter.
13. I shall OBEY all inner suggestions or commands.
14. When I return to the city, I shall organize a group. This is one of the reasons I desire to return.
15. Taught Bible school for years. Was a successful teacher—although I’m afraid I was not strictly orthodox.
Personal work I do best—and writing. I guess I must say it, although it sounds like boasting: Folks do seek me out—folks who need help, and I have (the Father has) helped many of them. I love this work most. Wish I could find a little Truth Center that needs me as much as I need them. I would like to give my whole life to the work.
I could lecture. One can always talk about that which is dearest to them. But I never lectured, although asked many times to talk. . . . but have always refused (there goes that humility complex again). But I like it. I’d rather talk to one soul alone, and let the Father say just what He desires to say to them, than to have all the honor and glory and fame in the world. Do you get me?
16. No one here to distribute to, but when I get to the city, I shall help in every way I can.
Please pray that I find work. . . . I MUST HAVE IT, so I may go about “the Father’s business.” This is something that puzzles me a little. I have so much Faith. . . . I wonder if I have TOO MUCH. . . . I just believe, and know God can do anything
