the Mother of Jesus; but that there are other mothers today who are visited by “Angels”—messengers from Spirit—to tell them of and prepare them for the advent of such a soul.

“I had cried myself to sleep because I felt so sorrowful over the other dear soul not coming to us. If you will remember, I wrote you about it when I started with the Sun Center Work—how a speeding car had nearly run over me, and our dog had jumped upon me and so frightened me that it caused us to be denied the joy of that dear soul.

“Sometimes later I awoke. The room was dark, but I lay there feeling so joyous, uplifted and happy. Then in the doorway of the room appeared a vivid golden Light, and out of it a voice said, ‘You have seen the Light. Fear not, you have been chosen as the channel for the coming to earth of a wonderful soul.’

“Several times before he came I was told the same thing, whenever father thoughts sought to enter my mind.

“The first movement he made was at our Group Meeting, when, while reading the Lesson, was brought in the words, ‘His Presence.’ The day before he came the room was filled with the fragrance of roses. Then two weeks later I saw his Higher Self or Soul looking out of his eyes. I wrote you about it. Such Power and Love and Majesty! And then it seemed as if a veil dropped down over his eyes, and he was again a little baby.

“Yesterday Sunny (this same little soul, now three years old) came in from play and said, ‘Do you remember, mother, when I first came to you from Christ Jesus? There was a nurse-lady there; and then Jesus let me come back and stay with Him for a whole week. But then He sent me back and I stayed with you.’

“At the hospital they had a very hard time getting him to wake when they brought him in to be fed. I am wondering if there would be a connection between his constant sleeping when a babe and this that he told me. (Undoubtedly, for a babe’s soul spends very little time with the body—only enough to enable it to grow. It is only then when called back by its mother’s love, or by the loving attention of others. In fact it usually takes seven years for the soul to bring its full consciousness down into this new brain-mind, as can be noted by studying the babe’s and later the child’s growing ability to respond to outside stimuli.
